Special Event

Join us at The Nines in downtown Portland located at 525 SW Morrison

Thursday, October 15, 2009 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Financial Beginnings, a financial literacy education nonprofit, is pleased to announce that A Tale of Good Cents: Financial Beginnings' Annual Tribute Event will be held at The Nines in downtown Portland October 15, 2009. This annual event will bring together educators, finance industry leaders, community members, and the media for a night of dinner, entertainment and goodwill. As we launch into our fifth year, and celebrate our success in providing financial education to over 6,000 Pacific Northwest schoolchildren, we turn to local businesses who share our vision. We hope that you will be able to join us at the event and in our efforts to educate, enlighten and enthuse local youth.

This year's Tribute Event promises to be a notable success. Goods and services from Oregon's finest establishments will be auctioned and guests will enjoy a plated dinner, live entertainment, and complimentary wine provided by local wineries. A Recognition Ceremony will honor individuals and businesses who have contributed to financial responsibility and education among our youth and within our communities.

This year, we are pleased to welcome honored guests;

State Treasurer Ben Westlund,

Senator Rick Metsger,

The National Jump$tart Coalition,

and more.
